Concept Generation + Photoshoot Direction + Campaign Execution
I was the lead designer for this prime time show’s campaign creative. Returning for it’s seventh season The Block NZ has a supportive and vocal fan base. This brief asked to capture the existing and new audience’s attention with a alluring tease launch. As the teams had not been announced I decided to focus on the tool belts that are at the heart of the show. The four teams of contestants colours are highlighted to tease and intrigue the audience into guessing the different identities. One blue, one purple, one yellow and one orange.
In both phases of the campaign we worked with the punchy tag BORN TO BUILD. Establishing the well known idea that DIY is in our DNA and these contestants were born ready.
This campaign was delivered across TV, Radio, Digital Billboards, Web Banners, Full Page Print Ads and Social Media.

In second phase we revealed the contestants and started to develop their identity with fun typography and playful patterns.
